For the first time, the Memphis Grizzlies will take part in the NBA's Christmas showcase.
The league hasn't yet revealed the complete 1,230-game calendar
The Grizzlies were one of two active NBA teams at the time.
The lone team still awaiting an invitation to its first Christmas schedule is the Charlotte Hornets.
It would be LeBron James' 17th Christmas game if he plays in the Dec. 25 matchup against the Mavericks.
James is the all-time leader in Christmas scoring and enters the season 1,325 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most in NBA history.
In the second round of the playoffs last year, Golden State and Memphis clashed, as did Milwaukee and Boston.
Again, barring a last-minute alteration, this will be the fifth consecutive Christmas without a rematch of the NBA Finals.
