The Asia Cup is a men's One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket tournament.
The 2022 Asia Cup will be the 15th edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament, with matches played as Twenty20 Internationals in the UAE in August and September 2022.
The tournament, which was originally scheduled to take place in September 2020, was postponed in July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After retaining the rights to host the 2022 edition, Pakistan was set to host the tournament
However, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced in October 2021 that Sri Lanka would host the tournament in 2022, with Pakistan hosting the 2023 edition
It alternates between ODI and T20I formats every two years.
India also named Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel as standby players
